◎ 상황설명

데이빗(David/Bud Parker: 토비 맥과이어 분)은 TV 시트콤 <플레전트빌>의 애청자이다. 어느날, 여동생 제니퍼(Jennifer/Mary Sue Parker: 리즈 위더스푼 분)와 TV채널을 뚜고 다투다 리모콘이 박살난 순간, 갑자기 나타난 수리공 할아버지로부터 건네받은 새 리모콘, 그것을 작동시키던 데이빗과 제니퍼는 TV속 흑백세상 <플레전트빌>로 빨려들어가는 엄청난 경험을 하게 된다.
